Roads Between Worlds

Since posting this, I've removed my books from Amazon, and am moving them to Project Gutenberg Self-Publishing Press.  They're all pdf ebooks, all free, and always will be.

When Einar and Agnethe discover that the mysterious treatment at "the Institute" has given them the ability to know things they shouldn't be able to, they have to make some decisions.  Should they go to the place Agnethe mysteriously knows of?  Should they leave their Earth behind?  What will they find once they depart?  What might parallel Earths and parallel civilizations be like?

And, knowing what they know, what should they do with their lives?  If they aren't going to stay put and be lab rats, where should they go?  What will they do?

And, knowing what they know...just what does it mean to be knowing?  What is the interplay between knowing, thinking, and feeling?  Does knowing make them superhuman?  Or inhuman?

Follow Einar and Agnethe as they seek their destinies and their humanity, searching for them on the roads between worlds.

The novel, with cover art by the great Garrett W. Vance, is available at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GUJJWBI (along with apps to read it on something other than a Kindle); or, from the same page, you can download a free sample.

Ice Cold and Other Stories

Edit: This was my first self-published ebook.  Since doing so, I've made this about twenty times longer, with dozens of stories in it, and it's available for free (a downloadable pdf) from http://self.gutenberg.org/, in an expanded edition, here.

* * *

It's not so much that I want you to buy this, as much as:
1) I want to show off the cool cover art the great Garrett W. Vance did for me, and
2) If you
are on the lookout for a new author, and you like what I write here, then here's an inexpensive chance to see what my best efforts are like.

Why does the hunter have a crossbow instead of a gun?  Why do he and his people hate those on the other side of an interdimensional Gate?  Why do they feel they "got a pig in a poke"?  He's not hot with rage though; he's Ice Cold.

Hurt...damaged...trudging through snow, a banished soldier makes a surprising discovery.  Maybe there's hope.  Maybe there's no need to just fade away and die.  Maybe there's return from Exile.

A bustling multidimensional civilization; expansion based on Explorers, Experts, and Enforcers.  A man who is one of the foremost Experts takes his uncanny talents to a nexus of tremendous possibility.  But things go badly wrong at Majoros-Taff Vale.  Will he overcome the reasons the nexus and its development site are called Emptyville?

Two short stories and one novelette, for $.99 on Amazon here (and, five days of every ninety, free); if you don't have a Kindle, you can get a free app there to read them on your tablet or phone.

My only request: If you do buy it, rate it on Amazon.  If you think they're good, the rating will help others find it.  And if you don't, you didn't want others to read it anyway.

Any questions about the stories, feel free to put them in a comment here.

I've expanded this collection massively, by adding 62 more stories to it (!).  It will be available on Project Gutenberg in January, after the original's time exclusive to Amazon ends.
